Call Center
The PerformRx Call Center representative was phenomenal! She took care of the client very well via my conference call and explained in exact detail that this drug could be a Part B if used for transplant treatment. PerformRx customer service has been outstanding.
Service/Implementation
I don't know where this program would be if not for the support and knowledge that PerformRx has supplied over the past half year (at least). Natashia, your support specifically, has kept the implementation on track for 1/1 'go live'. If you weren't getting me compliance information from Diane and her staff, you were getting information from me for Margie and the formulary department. I know you have a cast of support to whom you constantly give credit (Patty, John, Ilona, Melanie, Carl, and Edwin just to name a few) but you are the one on the front line for Touchstone…and your efforts are much appreciated. Your hard work and efforts are indicative of your "Next Generation PBM" mentality.
Implementation
We made a strategic decision to change our pharmacy benefits services to PerformRx. The transition, conversion, and implementation of PerformRx was seamless for member/recipients, providers and our management team. PerformRx staff's attention to planning detail and follow-up was exemplary, our management felt that we were part of the solution crafted during the changeover.
I wanted to thank you and the PerformRx account team for a very healthy start to 2008. I know many hours of hard work took place around the holidays, but it appears to have paid off in a smooth transition. The sense of urgency and ownership that the PerformRx team showed in the rush to the finish is greatly appreciated.
From the day of contract signature, the implementation efforts were flawless. The day the system was active, we processed claims accurately and timely. The second implementation when we brought up the Medicare line of business under part D was equally successful.
Rebates
PerformRx has been able to maximize rebates for our plan. They have worked hard to meet our needs and consistently collaborate with us to provide us opportunities and suggestions. It is a pleasure working with PerformRx.
PerformRx has served as our rebate manager for the past three years. During that time they have provided non biased guidance and creative solutions to our contracting needs. Their management and technical staff are both knowledgeable and customer focused. Prospective DUR
PerformRx's Prospective DUR capabilities are exceptional. Their point of sale programming capabilities enable implementation of comprehensive editing criteria that advances appropriate medication utilization in our Plan while preventing overuse and potential adverse drug events to our members. PerformRx constantly monitors the utilization patterns of our plan and makes proactive recommendations that benefit the plan and our members.
Retrospective DUR
PerformRx regularly reviews the unique utilization patterns of our plans' membership. This review allows for improvements to be made in the processing of medication claims. This leads to lowered costs as well as higher member satisfaction. PerformRx is capable of providing numerous detailed reports based on our plans drug utilization. These reports are very valuable when reporting medication use.
Formulary Management
The formulary department of PerformRx has always provided top notch clinical support. Class reviews and drug monographs are professional. well documented, and fitting to our benefit plan needs. Formulary management decisions are always based on relevant clinical evidence as well as cost effectiveness. PerformRx is efficient and flexible in supporting several different forms of PDL publication, including web based formularies (e.g. Epocrates), internal PDFs, and spreadsheet formats.
Reporting
PerformRx is very responsive to our reporting needs by creating and supporting customized reports for our Plan. They also maintain an index of standardized reports that are useful in monitoring the performance of our pharmacy benefit. They effectively manage our data while ensuring HIPAA compliance and security controls.
Innovation/Project Implementation
PerformRx has done a very thorough job on implementations. In the time that we have been with PerformRx, they have guided us through four implementations for various portions of the county population. The unique nature of our populations has caused us to "throw PerformRx some curveballs" which they have handled with creativity, accuracy and precision. PerformRx does an excellent job with project management. They are very thorough in their documentation and execution.
During our initial implementation with PerformRx, their senior account manager personally called upon our higher volume pharmacies to make introductions and to ensure that the pharmacies were prepared for the changes. The initiative taken here helped to contribute to a very smooth implementation.
Innovation/Project Management/340B
The PerformRx commitment to innovation has assisted our plan with implementing a unique, 4 party 340B program. This program is very intricate and complex and is only one of a few such programs that exist in the country. By implementing this program with us, PerformRx has helped us leverage 340B pharmacies and has saved Contra Costa county millions of dollars.
Security/Data Prevention Loss
As for security and prevention of data loss, the claims processor with PerformRx conforms to the rigid standards for the highest security level of a government agencies. The redundant systems and the redundant data file transfers protects the data form just about any disaster other than a direct nuclear strike on the facility.
Quality Standards
PerformRx is highly effective in collaborative efforts to set higher quality standards every year. Through efforts which can be contributed to PerformRx, our organization has excelled at NCQA quality initiatives.
Systems
PerformRx's systems are quite robust and they leverage a flexible platform to be able to accommodate the various individual plan needs. Their next Generation philosophy is apparent as they continue to identify innovative approaches to pharmacy management
Provider Education/Communication
PerformRx's healthplan routes are evident when it comes to their provider education. They produce frequent newsletters and fax blasts in order to effectively communicate and educate the pharmacy network. In addition, PerformRx is always willing to assist their customers with sending additional communication as needed. PerformRx has been able to accommodate us with urgent provider communication. Their quick turnaround times are to be commended.
Prior Authorization/Decision Support System
PerformRx's state-of-the-art prior authorization system provides a comprehensive platform to effectively manage prior authorization of medications. It is a user-friendly web based solution that organizes the process from intake through fulfillment and includes innovative consistent decision making tools. This system has allowed us to meet our prior authorization turnaround time requirements.
