President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer of the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, Michael A. Rashid is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, business development and operations of the organization. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies is the largest organization of Medicaid managed care plans and affiliated businesses in the United States, touching the lives of more than 6.5 million individuals. With more than 25 years of experience exclusively serving the Medicaid population, AmeriHealth Mercy's core products include full-risk HMOs, management, administrative, pharmacy benefit, and care management services, and behavioral health care services.

Prior to his current position, for 14 years Mr. Rashid was Executive Vice President of AmeriHealth Mercy, and had primary oversight of the company's growth and operations. Before joining AmeriHealth Mercy, Mr. Rashid was President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Health Plan of New Jersey (now Horizon NJ Health), where he led the provision of comprehensive managed health care services to Medicaid clients in New Jersey. Prior to that, Mr. Rashid served as Director of Medicaid Operations for Prudential Health Plan's Atlantic Region, which included operations in Baltimore, Maryland, and start-ups in Washington, DC and Virginia. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Total Health Care, a Medicaid managed care plan in Baltimore. In addition, Mr. Rashid has several years of experience in health care management consulting and managing health care provision in a city health corporation.

Mr. Rashid serves on the boards of many local organizations including the Urban League of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation, the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority and the Philadelphia Zoo. His contributions to the community have resulted in a variety of honors and awards. Mr. Rashid was honored by the Philadelphia Tribune as one of Philadelphia's Leaders in 2009. He has also received the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Award from the Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Signature Award from the West Philadelphia YMCA, the Trailblazer Award from Representative Ronald G. Waters, and the Envisioning the Dream award from Radio One.

Mr. Rashid earned a Master's of Business Administration in Finance from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Southern California.


Anne Morrissey

Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Anne Morrissey is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies. In this role, she is responsible for the company's growth and has corporate oversight of all aspects of health plan operations in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, South Carolina, Indiana, and the Corporate Chief Medical Office.

Before her current role, Ms. Morrissey was AmeriHealth Mercy's Chief Operating Officer and President of Pennsylvania Managed Care, which includes the five counties in Southeast Pennsylvania, the Lehigh/Capital zone, and Community Behavioral HealthCare Network of Pennsylvania, AmeriHealth Mercy's recently acquired behavioral health company in Harrisburg. Under her leadership, these health plans served 5.3 million lives.

Prior to joining AmeriHealth Mercy, Ms. Morrissey spent 14 years with CNA Insurance Company, a multi-line insurer based in Chicago, Illinois. She began with a subsidiary of CNA that served their federal programs in Rockville, Maryland, and progressed through the organization to Vice President of Operations.

She currently serves on the boards of Community Behavioral HealthCare Network of Pennsylvania, Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition, and the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia.

Ms. Morrissey is a professional registered nurse, and she received her degree from the Washington Hospital Center School of Nursing in affiliation with American University in Washington, DC.

Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance

Steven Bohner is Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance for the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies. He is responsible for the Company's overall financial functions and strategic financial planning. Mr. Bohner is also a key member of the new business development and expansion opportunities for AmeriHealth Mercy, specifically responsible for financial management oversight.

Working closely with the Company's Partnership Board on several committees, Mr. Bohner plays an integral part in the development of strategic and annual operating goals for the Company. He also oversees the corporate treasury function and actively seeks opportunities to maximize cash flow and investment return.

Mr. Bohner has almost 20 years of accounting and finance experience. He received a BS degree in Accounting and Finance from Davis and Elkins College, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
