On Friday March 4, four PerformRx associates gathered at the Community Partnership School (CPS) in Philadelphia. They were there to present careers in pharmacy, nursing, and other health professions to students from Pre-K to fifth grade. The event, organized by the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Leadership Class of 2016 sought to teach students about the different types of careers available today.

PerformRx associates went over basic pharmacy and healthcare tasks with the students including counting pills, taking blood pressure, and compounding different ingredients. John Barrett, Director of National Account Management stated “the event was a success, it was fun teaching the children about different careers, and it was nice seeing them interested in what everyone had to present. I think we helped them get an understanding of what we do which they can carry with them to their next stage of schooling.”
